How to Write a Cold Email in 10 Minutes (Template Inside)

| | 1. Hook | Reference the specific thing | "Saw your post on Stripe rate limits — the checkout-point analysis was spot on." | | 2. Context | What you do, in one line | "I build ColdCrow, an AI cold email writer for B2B founders." | | 3. Question | One low-pressure question | "Curious how you're handling refunds at that scale?" | | 4. Close | Soft exit | "Either way, keep building. — ColdCrow" |

That's it. 4 sentences. If you can't write it in 2 minutes, you don't have enough of a hook — go back to minute 3.

Minute 8-9: Cut it in half

Every cold email has 30% fat. Delete: - Your company's history - The feature list - "I hope this email finds you well"

Minute 10: Check the 3 spam killers

Before you hit send: 1. One link maximum (zero is safer for the first touch) 2. No salesy subject words ("free," "guaranteed," "limited time") 3. One CTA only (one question, not three options)

The template you can steal

``` Subject: [their specific thing]
Hi [name],
[Their specific thing] — [one-line observation about it].
I build [your product], [what it does in 10 words].
Curious how you [question about their world]?
Either way, keep building.
— [Your name] ```
